Postscriptus... On the telos of evurthing

And then / the idiot / encounters.....

"Add to this that without fixed [certis, really, fixed?] seasons of rain in the year the earth cannot put forth her cheering fruits, nor furthermore can living things kept apart from food beget their kind and preserve life; so that you may more readily believe many bodies to be common to many things, as we see letters to be common to words, than anything can exist without first-beginnings."
-From the Loeb, Lucretius, De Rerum Natura, pg. 19, lines 192-98

- - On this whole passage, especially the play of possible at the end and the cert- throughout see here [amazing, other blogPosts on this passage.... I feel like a real schlump for not actually being able to really give you a translation radical or other-wise of thine own].

Also bit like L'niz's boat guiding 'itself' (by the flow of things working in concert, as they're wont) to harbor in the preface (hmmmm... think so) of the Theodicy.  "Check...check..check it out"
